Just like the rest of your blog, these paintings are really inspiring. It’s great to see a larger version of the second painting; the image in the book is too small to fully enjoy. I can’t wait to see more!
Of course that depends on the complexity of the piece. These are fairly hi res, detailed illustrations. Usually I can do one of these in 3 of four days. Though there are the really complicated ones that can take weeks. I try to avoid those:)
Color keys are done at a much lower res, so you can get away with a lot of brushwork. A day is average.
I really love the second painting with the wondeful ice colours and the details of the blocks, it is so fun , there is so many pleasure in the touch. It is really great.
